Walk or Crawl or Motor
JUST GET THERE!
Today was about framing. Remember when you're buying art for a local artist that they spend a lot of time and money of frames and framing as well as, loading up at home, setting up at the art walk, tear down and putting everything away when they get home. They pay a fee or a commission for everything they sell. So please think about all that work when you look at the price of the art. It’s a lot of effort for you to enjoy and shop for original art.
Some of my frames are reused or up-cycled, but that doesn’t mean they are quality frames. Some are new gallery frames, that’s so the buyer can pick a frame that matches their decor or budget.
Epson ink jet digital prints are estimated to have a 100 yr life span.

February Art Events 2019
I had some new stuff printed to in preparation for 2019. I did have much in the way of Glicee Prints on Canvas, so I ordered 4 @ 16x20". I didn't have any Acrylic Prints so I ordered 2 @ 16x20". For some reason, anything smaller than that on just doesn't seem like art to me. Because the first art crawl is in the Comic Book Hideout ( www.ComicBookHideout.com ), I decided to get some prints that would fit in with their shop. If you have some time please stop in Atelier Mela, the Hat Shop is not a part of the Art Walk but they are selling some of my caps there (see below). If you like hats you need to Check It Out! 109 Commonwealth, Fullerton www.AtelierMela.net , I will be brining a few caps to my art shows (see below).

More Fiber More Metal
We all need more fiber!
I have been working on some new fiber art pieces. Once and awhile I participate in the Downtown Fullerton Art Walk, they have a great little Comic Book Hideout that also participates as a place to display the artists work, so I thought it would be fun to make some super hero, scifi, cartoon items specific for the shop. I don't have a confirmation on the date yet but I am confident, and I will post that information as soon as I hear back from them.

I Like Pie
Who doesn't like pie?!
Apple Pie without cheese, is like a hug without a squeeze.
For no special reason I am wondering if there are any other ex-employees or alumni of the Marie Callenders in Orange California the years would be 1983-1985. If so send me an email and say hi. I had a Reunion with some of the folks I worked with at Tony's Melody Inn and it was a blast to see old faces (no pun intended) Bob, Mary, Steve and Scott were some of the managers. I will have to take some time to remember other names. Hope to hear from you -Michael
