A Saddleback Valley teacher is a finalist for a national science teacher award.

Janet English, and eighthgrade teacher at Serrano Intermediate in Lake Forrest, was named a
state finalist for the Presidential Awards for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching .
She is one of three science finalist, along with ne math finalist.

Finalist who teach seventh through 12th grades will be honored at a state Borad of Education meeting this fall.

One science and one math teacher may be chosen for the awards, given to upto 108 teachers each year.
Winners get $10,000, a citation from the president and a Washington D.C., trip.

As some of you know, my sister Linda is up for a Tony Award.
The awards are this Sunday night on CBS (8:00 EST/PST, 7:00 CST/MST).

Those of you who know her will enjoy the "diary" she has been writing on the Tony Award website.
They asked 4 nominees to write a diary of their experiences since bneing nominated. Hers are pretty funny.

This is exciting news for the Angels as well as the Class of 1977! The evening's journey will still include, an excellent dinner, a live band, a dance floor, surprise entertainment, door prizes, and an available photobook to commemorate and celebrate our milestone 25th reunion. Only the Venue has changed! The Grove of Anaheim has hosted big names in concert!
