| For an example a C Dominant 7 Chord is usually written C7. Sometimes in chord charts you will see C7 Alt. Sometimes you can substitue any Dominant Chord for an Alterted Dominant. Sometimes meaning if the guy who writes the check dosen't want you to alter it you don't! To alter the Dominant Chord you can Sharp the 5 or the 9 or you can Flat the 5 or the 9. Anything else changes the basic structre of the chord too much. |
